Pleasure harbors
Caleta de Velez is a small town which sprang up around the fishing port, where each day a quaint fish auction takes place.
A pleasure harbour also stands in the same region, while all manner of tourist facilities are to be found in the vicinity, such as apartments, restaurants and shops.
Although Caleta is not a large resort it has a number of cafés, bars and restaurants serving good food (especially fish and seafood) all within walking distance. Shops including a bakers, supermarket, chemist and bank are also nearby.
Those seeking a busier resort can visit the town of Torre del Mar which can be reached either by a stroll down the promenade linking Caleta to Torre del Mar, or by a short car journey. There you will find a wide range of restaurants, bars, shops and nightspots as well as a 5 kilometre stretch of beach and promenade.
