Opened on 31st July, 1997, the Sport Patronage Veleño has the purpose of project - managing and directing the sport of the municipality of Vélez-Malaga. This centre offers a wide range of sports activities, and has very good prices as it is government run. It has over 15,000 annual users who enjoy using this marvellous facility.

Some of the sports that you can do here are : swimming, badminton, tennis, basketball, yoga, Tae Kwondo, weights room, soccer and paddel tennis. It has some of the best sports facilities both indoors and outdoors in Velez-Malaga, including one of the region's few indoor swimming pools.
